A Personal Note from Our Dog Bite Attorney Jason Porter
Thank you for visiting our website. The fact that you're looking at
our dog bite page tells me that you or someone you love has been bitten
by a dog. If that's the case, I'd like you to know why I represent
dog bite victims.
I am a proud father of four wonderful children. Some years ago, my five
year-old son was playing with our neighbor's Golden Labrador. Golden
labs aren't known to be vicious. My son was playing "fetch"
with the dog, and he teased the dog with a rope-like "fetch"
toy. As my son held the toy between his face and the dog, the dog lunged
at my son, biting off the tip of his nose.
The damage was severe. The skin on my son's nose was completely sheared
off -- all the way to the cartilage. All in all, he lost about an inch of skin.
My son suffered through painful surgery, skin therapy, and months of doctor's
visits. My family and I suffered right along with him. We worried he would
be scarred for life because of that dog. Years later, I'm happy to
say that my son is completely healed! He had good doctors who did their
jobs well. I hope you, or the one you love, are as fortunate as my son has been.
I help people who've been hurt by dogs because it's something I
understand. I know the pain, fear and uncertainty that comes from a dog
bite, and I've seen the long recovery first hand. As a lawyer, my
job is to help you recover money to pay medical bills, lost wages and
to compensate you for your injuries. I will do that. I will do that even
better because I've been through it myself.
One last thought: I will never forget the look of shock on my son's
bloody face. He trusted that dog, and the dog hurt him badly. If a dog
has hurt you or someone you love, please call me.
I want to help.
