Christopher Craun is an experienced Family and Criminal Law attorney. He
has practiced law in North East Florida for more than twenty-seven (27) years.
His Family Law experience includes cases involving dissolution of marriage,
alimony, equitable distribution, business and intangible asset valuation,
mediation, marital settlement agreements, trials and appeals. His representation
often includes related or associated cases in Dependency and Criminal Court.
Mr. Craun’s criminal experience includes State and Federal cases
from accusation and arrest to jury trial and subsequent appeal. His jury
trial experience includes the use of, and challenges to, scientific evidence
(which includes DNA and fiber evidence), physical evidence, and circumstantial
evidence. His overall experience extends from Juvenile Delinquency to
post-conviction relief on Death Row.
After graduating from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee,
with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology, Mr. Craun
received his Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama at
Birmingham. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the Cumberland School
of Law at Samford University, also in Birmingham.
Mr. Craun is a former Assistant State Attorney who was trained under the
tutelage of the same prosecutorial team which tried and convicted famed
serial killer, Ted Bundy. He has served as a Certified Law Enforcement
Instructor at North Florida Community College in Madison, Florida, and
as a Certified Parenting and Positive Divorce Resolution instructor at
Florida Gateway College in Lake City, Florida, for eighteen (18) years.
Previously divorced himself, Mr. Craun understands the particular needs
of clients dealing with family law matters. Mr. Craun has since remarried,
and he and his wife share seven (7) beautiful children.
